New beginnings...in more ways than one

Some people look forward to moving because it’s an opportunity to start over and a chance for a new beginning. It’s a time to start fresh with relationships, begin a new job or career, live in a new place, or even leave behind a hurtful past. For some people it’s like looking forward to spring after a long hard winter. Seeing new growth come on the brown limbs of a tree or plant is a gentle reminder of better things to come, or better yet, that there is hope for a new beginning and a chance for a new life.

Christ defined the words "new beginnings" when He died on the cross for our sins and was resurrected from the dead. (He is alive! Hallelujah!) Knowing that our sins are forgiven, and that we can have new life in Him, is the best new beginning we can ever have. This is your opportunity to start over and begin fresh and new--in Christ. Do you know Him personally? Have you invited Him into your heart and your life? To know Him is to love Him, to love Him is life changing. Put the welcome mat out at the door of your heart, my friends. He’s been waiting a long time for you to invite him in. Make this move a new beginning---in more ways than one.

…forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 3:13-14

Scripture To Remember
For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
- Romans 5:6-8

Meditate on Christ’s death and resurrection.
- Matthew Chapters 27 and 28

Question To Consider
Have I accepted Christ into my heart as my personal savior?

Prayer
Oh Lord, I call myself a Christian, but I’ve never really surrendered my life to you completely. I need you. I’ve tried for so long to run my life my way and I’m so weary and so empty. Fill me, mold me, and move me to you, right now. I surrender all. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. Amen.

Thought for the Day
Today is the first day of the rest of my life - with Jesus!
